I know it would definitely be used to help children. I would love to be able to make Christmas special for as many kids as possible. I already run a golf outing to raise money for children's charities. So, to be able to give a child a memory that will last a lifetime by being Santa just once....the smiles would be worth more than any amount of cash ever.
I would donate it to an inner city school and then set up programs with the money to improve literacy... and get some corprate matching donations to turn that $1000 into three or four thousand dollars : )
Hi Dena! Thanks for stopping by my blog. :) Please come back anytime. If I had that kind of money to donate to a charity it would probably go towards Alzheimer's research in memory of my Nana (grandma). RIP
This local man I swear has made marvelous strides in the cure for cancer. since he passed away, I hope his dream will not be stifled. They did a story on him on "60 Minutes".

Right now, I'd give it to my mom. She has a lot of financial responsibility left on her shoulders since my dad passed away.

I'd give it to my wife to help her pay for the last semester of college which she is short for, and will have to take out more loans
