Last night decided it was time to finally get the bikes back out and start riding again. So Joshy, Dev and I went for an hour bike ride. I knew that my legs and my hiney was going to be feeling the pain.....omg they need to cushion those seats more!!!! But anyway we go for our ride and of course about 30 minutes into it Im the one already saying how bad my legs are hurting, and its really burning in my knees. Joshys answer to this is just don't think about it...oh ok why didn't I think of that!!!! As if that's actually going to work...but none the less we continue and even though I'm feeling the "burn" I'm glad we are back at this again!...that is until we got home. I do not know what the hell happened but for some god forsaken reason I had the worse pain ever up in my shoulders and between my shoulder blades...so bad that it kept me awake all night long...along with a wonderful leg cramp that kept trying its best to take over my leg during the night!!! I am now awake and should be feeling great cuz I dont have any babysitting kids today...I'm actually going to get my hair colored and cut today and I'm stuck with the worlds worse pain in my right shoulder blade that shoots up into my neck. I move extremely slow and I'm thinking this is going to be real interesting going to get my hair done today. For the life of me I can not understand how an innocent bike ride could leave such results...after all its not like we were riding on rough terrain, no slopes, I didn't fall over...nothing just an innocent bike ride!!! Good lord is this just another sign of how old and out of shape I am!?!?! I can harldly wait to see what tonights bike ride brings!!

Well if the old saying, "No pain, No gain" is true, you sure are gaining a lot!

LOL'ing at Tom.. True true. I haven't been on a bike in forever. Unless you count the little spin I did on Hannah Grace's pink princess Huffy last summer. Which you shouldn't because it was only about a 1 meter long ride! :)

Sorry Dena

Sometimes if we use muscles that we don't normally, it throws them into a fit. If the muscle doesn't calm down tomorrow, perhaps you should go see your doctor, and maybe get some relaxors

I know exactly what you're feeling....last summer when I bought my bicycle I had such good intentions of getting on it and riding all the time. I took the kids for a ride in one of those bike cart thingys (Kylee was waaaay too big for it and Josh was close to being too big) and about died getting them back home...LOL we have NO flat roads around here...it's so darn hilly, I hate it! Anyways, I haven't gotten my bike back out since then...LOL I seriously need to, but haven't. Kudos to you for gettin' out there and doin' it...and even more for wanting to do it again tonight! :o)

After a day of yard work anymore, every part of my body aches.
It irritates me that by body should be hurting so much, and I didn't even have any fun getting that sore!

Hey, good luck with that bike riding!

Oh Dena, I do soooo sympathize with you!! Every spring time I get my bike out and think that I can conquer the terrain around here, and head off into the sunset with the kids. I do fine getting to the place that I have set in my mind as our goal, and never fail to forget that i still have to get back home again!! That is the killer part of the bike ride, the return trip. :-) I need to get my bike out, dr. said it is good for the knees. I rather look like your cartoon when I am done with the bike though, and I have barely made it to the end of the drive. :-) good post. And I LOVE Tuesday's cartoon. I think I will start to put my chores into those categories too! take care, Debby
