Being my opinionated self

OK so though I don't always show it on here I'm a very opinionated person...and there are some things that I can just go off about, here's one of those things!!! Now remind yourself its MY opinion on my page...you don't have to like it or even agree with it !!! I heard recently that they are planning on making it so that erectile dysfunction and male enhancement ads can not appear on radio and television between the hours of 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. they say its an intrusion into our daily lives that they believe has become inappropriate. Now I do find the "smiling bob commercials" a little dorky...sometimes fricking funny.

but now here is where MY opinion comes in....if they are so bent on saving our children from such commercials then why don't they do the same with the Victoria Secrets commercials that get aired at all times of the days...I mean now kids are being exposed to boobies galore...or what about feminine itch products, and how about tampon commercials. I mean honestly why just deal with something that has to do with a man issue and why not put a ban on all issues that should be deemed not appropriate for kids during those hours????? These are the things that just piss me off. I've listen to people say that our world has become too commercialized well I agree but why is it that SOME people view SOME things like a dorky guy commercial filled with all kinds of "puns" inappropriate and yet half naked women are not???

I sooo agree! After seeing those summer's eve ads, I now find myself sitting and wondering if other men just have those not so fresh feeling days. I also am tired of false advertising. The tampon commercials tell you that if you use their product you can do things like surf, skydive, ride a bull in a rodeo. Well newsflash! I tried one and I still couldn't do any of those things!Bastards.

Ok sorry kiddo. I really do agree with you on this issue. Even if I chose to showing by being my normal smart ass self.

I think that the erectile dysfunction and feminine products ads that are just blantant "Tampons are better then pads" or "If you suffer from debilitating erectile dysfunction..."

I think those should be banned. I actually don't mind the "mother nature" commercials and the smiling bob commercials. I actually think those are hysterical.

Victoria secret I really don't care if they show commercials. There commercials are always black and white and overly artsy garbage with just the bra name at the end...which just makes me go...oooook thanks for wasting my time. So they can go too.

If it's an all or nothing thing, then yes i agree have them ALL go. Cause I do remember a time when when I didn't have to watch 5 tampax commercials during an evening.

Even higher up on the WTF scale is the HERPES commercial in movie theaters and television. I don't know if you've seen these, but they have absolutely got to go. Not only are they misinformative, but they broach a topic in my opinion worst then "erectile dysfunction".

I also agree! And what about the ads for Ky lubricants that enhance sexual pleasure for him and her. They don't leave a lot to the imagination.

The ads for Cialis and Levitra are much more tastefully done than the viagra ones.

I see your point on this Dena and I'd like to add something. I'm sick of kids commercials being on all hours of the day. Ohhh the mamwich song ... MEE OOOH MYYYY ... that stupid song was stuck in my head for 3 solid months.

Mama don't you make me another meatloaf, I don't want no mac and cheese, I want some fun piled on a bun ... I want a mamwich please. UGH!!!!

I totally agree with you. All those commercials need to be on when everyone is in bed...sleeping. I had explain to my child the other day what "male enhancement" was, and let me tell you, finding that in the dictionary was no easy feat.

THANK YOU Dena!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I agree 100% What does a 1/2 naked woman have to do with selling cars, beer, pop, movies, and other stuff?

YES, all of the above mentioned commercials can GO!

Good post.
