Are you ready????

ARE YOU READY????

I'm one of those that put my tree up the day after Thanksgiving, and the lights get put up outside then too, my house is all decorated with Christmas decorations in almost every room. I have all my shopping done and 90% of everything wrapped and under the tree...I have packages in the mail already....and this next week I will start my holiday baking. I get excited this time of the year..sure there's alot that is going on and alot of things I am doing..but its what Ive always done this time of the year and its become our family tradition so I wouldn't want it any other way.

What about you....are you ready..or are you one of those that put the tree up last minute...get the shopping done last minute..and throw the gift in a gift bag so you don't have to wrap it??

That is so pretty! :)

I usually have my shopping done before thanksgiving... so I can mail everything out after thanksgiving... but this year was slightly different. I am still waiting for packages to arrive so I can wrap and put under the tree. I feel so stressed out wondering if the packages will arrive on time?!

It's funny-- I shop here and there...decorate fairly early, but still feel like I am doing things at the last minute. I think I work better under pressure. Boo to me!

I can't wait for the girls to get out of school tomorrow-and I'll feel a little less stressed I think.

I was good this year! My tree went up the weekend after Thanksgiving. All shopping done. Just two more presents to wrap and place under the tree!

I bought the first Christmas present in August. And I'm still not ready. But I am on track to be ready without being totally stressed out. Maybe.

We got you beat. We had our tree up about 1 1/2 weeks before Thanksgiving this year and had other stuff out the first week of November. Or, I should say my wife did. I'm just the pack mule and haul it wherever she tells me to. We take it all down within a day or two after Christmas, though, cuz the twin's birthday is Jan 2 and she wants to make sure it is two separate occasions for them.

In my earlier years, I was a last minute shopper. I can remember a year or three of finishing up on Christmas eve as the stores were closing. But somewhere along the way I learned my lesson and now I always get it done early.

Sounds like you have a bit of that little kid inside of you. But that's a good thing. I do too.

Dena, I'm a little of both!!! Like you I have decor ALL over the house. Tree was up before T=giving, letting it settle. The kids decorated it T-giving weekend.

Most of my shopping is done, but I have a couple more things to pick up. Now that I'm working retail the thought of shopping just kills me!

Happy Holidays to you!

Seriously, a countdown - that's just mean!

(Obviously I'm NO where near ready - and the 3-6 inches of snow forecast for Saturday 'round here aren't gonna help either)

oh - and don't forget to pick out what you'd like from winning my giveaway :)

Yup, I am just like you, I really throw myself into the holiday. The tree was up early, house decorated, lights on outside and turned on every evening. The gifts take me a while cuz I want them all to be special and I run from one store to the other before I make up my mind. but I love the hectic of it. Who can not love all that shopping!!! Only the last minute little things to buy now, the rest are wrapped already but the kids won't let me put them under the tree yet cuz that has to wait for Christmas Eve. Cookies are in the oven as I write, can you smell them?? I am waving my arms around to spread the delicious smell of Tollhouse and some butter cookies. Russian Tea cakes are next, but I just ran out of butter, so off to the store with me before things close down. hugs from here, Debby

I have decided it's my own personal tradition to wrap gifts on Christmas Eve, cause I am a slacker :)
Stopping by from Matty Thoughts to say Merry Christmas!

I'm a lover of Christmas too! Tree was up a week before Thanksgiving (not decorated though cuz we hosted Thanksgiving and didn't want it to feel too Christmassy yet), but the weekend after Thanksgiving we had the tree decorated, the inflatables up in the front yard, the front porch railing is decked in multi-colored lights and I have snowmen all over my house!! LOL I was stressing with the shopping however...I've NEVER taken as long to shop as I did this year...I don't know what it was, I just wasn't in the mood to shop so I kept putting it off and putting it off...I finally got it all done yesterday! YES, two days before Christmas and I just got it done! That has NEVER happened before....I'm usually done at least 2 weeks before Christmas so I have plenty of time for wrapping. I have them all wrapped though too....so I'm getting ready to go bake some cookies! Chocolate Chip, Sugar, No-Bake Cookies and Rice Krispie Treats! YUM! :o) Merry Christmas Dena! LUVZ & HUGZ!
